Operations as a Service for Kubernetes
Netic provides operations for critical systems deployed to Kubernetes clusters both running in on-prem data centers and in public clouds. This poses a number of challenges both defining boundaries between development teams and Netic operations as well as establishing a secure, uniform foundation for deployment, monitoring and alerting.
To support this, Netic has developed a concept called Operations as a Service (OaaS for short) consisting of a GitOps based approach to deployment in a controlled way and an observability stack to provide visibility both for developers and operations.
In this talk we will present the idea and the Netic techstack to support OaaS and demonstrate how a development team may deploy their work and contribute necessary observability data into the environment to support a 24/7 operations setup.
