GitOps - What, Why, and Where to go from here?
The term "GitOps" term was originally coined by Weaveworks as a way to do operations by pull requests, and applies many of the same ideas behind reconciliation in Kubernetes clusters.
Fast-forward to today, GitOps is the talk of the town, and wider adoption is taking place, not only for applications in Kubernetes, but for entire clusters using Cluster API, or cloud resources using projects like Crossplane, or Amazon Controllers for Kubernetes, and potentially anything.
In this presentation, Kasper will try to answer the questions; What is GitOps? Why should you care? and where to go from here? Further, Kasper will share some of his experiences in implementing GitOps at Lunar.
